Dear Mr. Beck:
Regarding our May 11, 2009, 9:30 am phone conversation concerning my May 3, 2009 letter sent to Animal Control, Lieutenant MaGee (not McMagee, wrong spelling) As of now the May 3, 2009 letter can still be seen at http://conceptual-art-9-11.blogspot.com/

Because you said I must make a written request.
This is my formal Public Records Request asking for all previous contacts, warnings citations, notes and phone conversations (Like this May 11th letter to you) be sent to me as soon as possible. And most important send ALL information on paper about the dog killed by a car. The dog lived at 39196 Starview Drive in Big Bear Lake, CA. Same address as in my May 3, 2009 letter to Animal Control about a dog running loose.

The reason for such a wordy Public Records Request is because according to our phone conversation, Animal Control does NOT have a Public Records Request form that can be provided to the public. As I suggested to you and on the message machine to your Supervisor Brian Cronin, that such Public Records Request FORMS be available by calling Animal Control. The phone number for those forms AND third party citation information also should be on the door hangers. The door hangers that are now left on doors of those involved when no one is home.

If the above obvious foresight by Animal Control management had been done previously, perhaps the Starview dog would be alive today.

I would also like to say again that the communication methods used not only by Animal Control, but also by the Big Bear Lake Sheriff’s department makes it difficult for the average citizen to get information without the help of a highly paid attorney. Also on the behalf of the dead Starview dog, let me reiterate. Other neighbors are also upset with Animal Control’s discouraging methods of enforcing the leash law.

Because of these discouraging methods designed to prevent transparency, history of violations, and information gathering, I’m sending/distributing this letter to those that might help. Help because having government organizations that only appear helpful are better off closed.

That way the citizens can complain directly to our Sheriff and or elected officials without the BS government gatekeepers discouraging us with silence.

Sincerely,
Carl G. Mueller, Nam 68
